The decision of the agitation of the fourth class government employees on Vacancies in the Department of Medical Education

(By Ashok Shinde): The state government has issued an order to fill 100 per cent vacancies in C and D categories of health services through direct service and accordingly recruitment has started in the public health department. However, as the recruitment process in the hospitals under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research has not started yet, the State Government Group D (Class IV) Central Federation of Employees has written to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and concerned Minister Amit Deshmukh urging them to start the recruitment process immediately. Bhausaheb Pathan, the president of the association, has said that he has run to the Chief Minister as he did not get any response for repeated discussions with the concerned Minister Amit Deshmukh. Meanwhile, the organization had twice staged state wide agitations on the issue. This is happening consciously and the organization has warned of a state wide agitation from October 15 if the recruitment process is not started directly.

The mentality of the administration was to outsource the recruitment in the Directorate of Medical Education and Research. After the agitation against it, a straightforward approach was followed in the meeting with the organization. A total of 1,222 vacancies have been ordered to be filled by directly. At the same time. The recruitment process has not started yet and no reply has been received even after sending letters to the concerned Minister Amit Deshmukh asking for time for discussion.

According to the information received by the organization, medical hospitals and colleges in the state have started recruiting on a contract basis without following the orders of the government. That is why it is being avoided to fill the posts directly. This is happening consciously and the organization has warned to agitate if the recruitment process is not started directly. In the meeting of the union, it has been decided to start agitation of the fourth class employees of the medical education department in the state from October 15. Bhausaheb Pathan, the president of the association, has also warned that if the government does not take action in this regard, all the responsibility will be on the government.
