Government, Private engineering colleges agree on not to hike the fees: Karnataka Higher Education Minister
The Karnataka Minister for Higher Education Dr C N Ashwatha Narayana has informed that a consensual agreement has been arrived between the Government and the Private engineering colleges on not to hike the fees of engineering courses.
In a meeting with the private engineering colleges today, consensus was also drawn to cap the miscellaneous fees and skill fees to 20,000 rupees. In another major decision, the admission fees, miscellaneous fees and the skill fees have to be remitted at Karnataka Examination Authority instead to the colleges directly.
The minister informed during this occasion that four engineering colleges have agreed to teach the engineering course in Kannada from the current year.
