Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that in order to make education accessible, equitable and qualitative, the new national education policy has been brought after a gap of more than three decades. He was speaking at the 13th foundation day celebration of the Koraput-based Central University of Odisha through virtual mode yesterday.
The Union Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Mr Pradhan said that the universities need to work hard to create skilled and committed citizens in order to realize the dreams of the 21st century India. He said, the role of the universities is not restricted to imparting education only but also to ensure the holistic development of the young generation.
Underlining the cultural diversities of the tribal dominated Koraput district of Odisha, the Union Minister Mr Pradhan said that the Koraput-based Central University may come out as a temple of education in the region by promoting the local tribal culture, their lifestyles and the all round progress of the people of the region.
